Hey folks, I know I’ve let my blogging habits slide. Between the cross-country drive and getting sick when I got back, it’s been a very difficult time to blog. (plus, I’ve had a lot of Mad Men to catch up on). I promise I’ll do better soon.

In the meantime, here’s a picture of the kids for the grandparents. What’s this picture for? HMMMM I wonder…. maybe Buster’s shirt will give you a hint.

Well I had a little moment and thought I would do a brief post (not brief) just to catch you, dear reader, up on what’s going on with my life right now. It’s crazy complicated and I’m really tired. I don’t even have my contacts in but I thought I should post something quick anyway. (not quick – 1400 words long! wow!)

First off, let me apologize for falling off the wagon with the blog-a-day challenge. Things got crazy busy with the project I’ve been working on and I just lost focus on the important things in life – such as blogging, of course.

Sorry about my rushed entry last night. I had about 5 minutes to write it. Of course I went back later and added the necessary image… Still digging the heck out of that movie. Can’t wait to get it on DVD…

So this morning, Parker took me to work again. Work is weird. I’m working on this big pitch project and am stressing to meet an upcoming deadline – and yet I technically still don’t have a job! It’s the weirdest thing. But I’ve been working hard and I’m getting really excited to come up with cool ideas and bounce inspiration off my brothers and other genius minds…

OK, so I JUST ran in the door to blog before midnight! I think I might make it in time! This blog challenge is awesome. Thanks, John!

This morning, Marylynn and the kids went up to the cabin in Twaine Harte for her family’s annual vacation. They’ll be gone for a week. I am sad. I miss them already. However, I must admit that there’s a liiiiitle bit of fun in being a bachelor – at least for a short amount of time.

I worked late today, then went over to the office in Anaheim where I met up with my old friend Sean Jiminez who loaned me a DVD copy of an animated short he did (which is AWESOME by the way) so I can finish the project I’m working on. Long story – running out of time before midnight.

So afterwards, Parker and I went by the $3 movie theatre and just saw “Drag Me To Hell”. It’s a PG-13 Horror / Comedy movie by Sam Raimi (who also did the Spider-Man movies and the Evil Dead movies if ya didn’t know) It was the most fun I’ve had in a theatre in a LOOOONG time. VERY VERY SCARY and also SUPER FUNNY. I highly recommend it. OK, Gotta run!!

Cool, huh? It’s cool to be surrounded by creative people again. I’m really enjoying creating new stuff, coming up with cool ideas and inspring others who inspire me. Magic Store / Yo Gabba Gabba is a place where magic happens. Believe that!

I can’t really talk about the big things that are going on around here at the moment. I’m exhausted and saddened by the crap and turmoil that Parker is going through. Yesterday was a great day if you’re into drama. I’m not, so I won’t elaborate on that.

So instead, I’m going to complain about what’s going on in my own life. Can I complain for a few? Too bad, I’m going to anyway.

My return flight home was at 10:15 this morning. I was not on it. People ask me things like “Did you miss your flight?” And I smile, shake my head and say stuff like, “No, no you silly child. I’ve decided to stay a little longer.”

Last night Parker and I picked up his girls and we went over to our friend Ben Soto’s place. It was awesome, and they have a beautiful house. We got to play Wii for a while, eat cupcakes and stay up late. Oh and he has two awesome chihuahuas that we played with (Banksy and Stella).

This morning, Parker, Christian and I drove up to our old ward building in Brea to attend the funeral for Kemy Pyper. She was an awesome lady who was our bishop’s wife when we were younger. She was SUPER nice and our Bishop (Dennis Pyper) was very influential on me and my family. it was a heavy emotional funeral, but like most Mormon funerals, it was overall happy, with our knowledge of the Plan of Salvation and eternal families. We know she’s in a better place and is waiting for her family. Nevertheless, the sadness of seeing her family say goodbye to her, even if it is just for a time, was touching.

I might stay here a little longer than I had originally planned on… I’ll keep you posted as things develop.

In other news, Parker and I are taking his little girls to the Barnums for swimming and food tonight and it should be fun! I haven’t even seen Don and only got to talk to Mary for like 5 minutes. I have the best in-laws ever and I haven’t even seen them! Plus Sarah and Joe and their awesome kids are coming in tonight, so it’ll be a par-tay. Party.

In the meantime, here’s an awesome video I saw yesterday that makes me want to quit life because it’s so awesome.
